Moving on

It has been a long time

Since I wrote of you.

It could be that I think less of you.

It could be that I am now free –

Or freed you - from memories.

There was a time I breathed you

In every sigh.

In every blink of my eyes

Images of you lingered

Unwilling to fade.

It could be that I have accepted -

As all have to

The final d-e-l-i-n-k-i-n-g –

- - - - - - -

What lies next?

  2. Delinked or not is actually a state of mind.

  3. a total cut off - is it possible?
all connections remain - sometimes dormant - in mind's repository

  4. I agree with KPJ Ma’m. Sir is it possible to do that? Sometimes we feel that we did, we’ve moved on. But often it comes back, with such fierce intensity. May be I’m not too strong enough.

  5. It could be. But you never know what the heart holds and the mind fathoms!

  6. @RGB: Yes, could be. For the sake of imagining, tell me what is next, but moving on, carrying the pregnant emptiness, to your grave?

@Sujata: Either one has to rip it off and let the wound turn septic or- just let it be...

@kpj: No, for a dog like me, it is not.

@Arun: Oh, it waxes and wanes. Its lunatic - to be in love, ever...It comes in flashes - flashes of intense pain. But, as you get older, you learn the meaning of nothingness. There is a poem I wrote sometime ago, 'Nada'. I expressed it quite well, I think.

  8. time heals.. nothing lasts for ever. the most intense pain dulls. but there are some pain we like to keep fresh.. pain that has become so much a part of our existance that we cant live with out it...

  9. @Kaalpanique: And yet further, you reach a stage where you CAN live with it, look at it dispassionately or even with a hint of kindness...

In the poem, I am referring to a stage yet further, where everything enters the black hole.

@Doc: If time permits, read an earlier poem of mine, 'The Leftover'. This poem was just an involuntary jerk, a spasm.

  12. Balan. i have of late been feeling that we have to climb all the 18 steps to reach truth realisation. it is a process each one of us have to undergo. in our Eastern concept of birth and rebirth and still more rebirths, what we are doing is to climb from one step to the next. only when we reach the 18th step are we liberated and free of rebirths. the thing is to get out of all confusions--maya. then only we can touch the state of ultimate peace. i really think you are on the way.
